Lots of the powder skiing and training will take place in tight trees, so we’ve slightly upped the minimum required level from older Japan trips as some of the terrain is harder and tighter than that offered in Niseko.

The minimum ski level is now Level 3 – “I can ski easy off-piste terrain (bumps, powder, variables)”. And additionally you should be confident skiing around trees with good speed of movement when turning.

Located at the northernmost tip of Japan’s main island, Tohoku remains a hidden gem for powder seekers. Unlike some more crowded Japanese resorts, Tohoku offers no lift lines, peaceful slopes, and days of untracked powder—all without the competition.

You’ll enjoy 7 days of skiing, with the first day dedicated to a relaxed warm-up to shake off the jet lag and explore the slopes at your own pace. After that, it’s 6 full days of expert, powder-focused coaching across four fantastic resorts—each offering something different and special.

We would incredibly highly recommend getting some pre-Japan training in with us in Verbier before hand too if at all possible!

Note that this Tokyo hotel does not serve breakfast—there is a cafe in the hotel so guests will be expected to purchase their own brekky/coffee.
