By accessing or using Powderscape, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the site.
In these terms, “Powderscape,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the owner of Powderscape.com.
What Powderscape provides
Powderscape is an independent directory of ski and snowboard camps, instructor courses, guided tours, backcountry trips, heli trips, and related experiences offered by independent trip companies.
We organize published trip information to make it easier to discover and compare options. Powderscape is free to use and does not require an account.
Our role and the trip company's role
Powderscape is a directory, not a travel agency, tour company, booking service, guide service, or insurer. We do not operate trips, accept bookings or payments, or act as a representative of the trip companies featured on the site.
Each trip is operated, priced, sold, and managed by the independent trip company identified in its listing. Any booking or other agreement is made directly between you and that trip company. The trip company's terms, payment requirements, cancellation and refund policies, eligibility requirements, insurance requirements, waivers, and safety procedures apply to your trip.
A listing on Powderscape is provided for informational purposes. It does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, certification, or guarantee of a trip company, trip, guide, itinerary, safety practice, or outcome.
Listing information
We compile listings from information published by trip companies and other identified sources. We organize the information into standard fields and check it against the source before publication.
Despite these efforts, listing information may become incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Prices, currency conversions, dates, availability, capacity, inclusions, accommodations, transfers, ability requirements, age requirements, and itineraries can change at any time.
Prices shown on Powderscape are starting prices provided by the trip company. Unless otherwise noted, prices are per person. Taxes, fees, supplements, transportation, equipment, insurance, and other expenses may cost extra. Map pins indicate a trip's general location and do not represent an exact route, meeting point, pickup location, boundary, or complete itinerary.
Use Powderscape as a starting point for your research. Before booking or making a payment, confirm all important information directly with each trip company on its official website.
Favorites and comparisons
Saving a trip does not reserve a place or hold a price. Favorites and comparisons use our directory's information, which may change. Saved favorites and packing lists do not sync between devices, and we cannot recover them if your browser's site data is cleared.
Packing lists
The packing list is a preparation tool with general suggestions, not a complete list of requirements for your trip. Check what you need with your trip company or guide. Completing the list does not confirm that you are ready for an activity, and it does not replace safety advice or training.
You may download, print, and share your packing list for personal trip planning. Exports include packed items and completed preparation checks, rather than everything in your saved list.
Outdoor and travel risks
Skiing, snowboarding, backcountry travel, heli-skiing, heli-snowboarding, and related activities involve inherent risks, including serious injury, illness, property loss, and death. Travel can also be affected by weather, snow conditions, natural hazards, transportation disruptions, political conditions, and other events outside Powderscape's control.
You are responsible for evaluating whether a trip is appropriate for your experience, ability, fitness, health, and risk tolerance. You are also responsible for reviewing the trip company's qualifications, safety procedures, eligibility requirements, insurance requirements, and booking terms.
Powderscape does not assess your suitability for a trip or independently inspect, supervise, or verify the operations, guides, equipment, accommodations, transportation, or safety practices of a trip company.
External websites
Listings contain links to trip companies and other external sources for your convenience. These websites are independent from Powderscape, and we do not control or assume responsibility for their content, availability, security, prices, practices, policies, or terms.
Your use of an external website and any transaction with a trip company are governed by that website's terms and policies.
Names, photographs, and other content
Trip company names, trip names, logos, trademarks, and photographs belong to their respective owners. They may be displayed on Powderscape to identify and describe listed trips. Photographs may be delivered directly from trip companies' websites or other identified sources.
The original text, organization, design, software, and compilation of information created for Powderscape are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may access, link to, quote from, and share Powderscape pages for personal, noncommercial, or ordinary editorial purposes, provided you do not misrepresent the content or imply an affiliation with or endorsement by Powderscape.
Except for normal search-engine indexing, you may not, without our written permission:
- Copy, extract, or download substantial portions of the directory;
- Scrape or systematically collect listing information;
- Republish Powderscape content as another directory, database, product, or service;
- Use automated tools in a manner that disregards our technical instructions or places an unreasonable load on the site;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems;
- Interfere with the site's operation or security; or
- Use Powderscape content for an unlawful, misleading, or fraudulent purpose.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Powderscape and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
We do not warrant that the site will always be available, secure, complete, current, accurate, or free from errors or harmful components. We also do not warrant the quality, availability, legality, safety, or suitability of any trip, trip company, guide, accommodation, transportation provider, or other third party featured or linked on the site.
Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Powderscape and its owner will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to:
- Your use of or inability to use the site;
- Your reliance on listing information;
- A trip company, trip, booking, payment, cancellation, refund, or dispute;
- An injury, illness, loss, delay, cancellation, property damage, or other event connected with a trip; or
- An external website or service linked from Powderscape.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
Corrections and removals
We welcome help keeping the directory accurate. If you represent a listed trip and would like us to correct, update, or remove it, please email hello@powderscape.com with a link to the Powderscape listing and a description of the requested changes.
Anyone who notices an error may contact us at the same address. You may learn more about our sources and review process on About our listings.
Changes to the site and these terms
We may add, update, suspend, or remove listings or site features at any time. We may also revise these terms as Powderscape evolves or as legal and operational requirements change.
The “last updated” date at the top identifies the most recent substantive revision. Updated terms apply when they are published. If you do not agree with a revision, you should stop using the site.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
