The Classic Unlimited Vertical Package is ideal for people who want to book a package that doesn't have a minimum number requirement

The Classic Unlimited Vertical Package is the industry “standard” program, except we include Unlimited Vertical (whereas some other operations only include 100,000ft and you need to pay more to ski more). We only offer full week, seven-night trips.

Terrain
  • Wide open powder turns? We love them. Chutes and perfectly spaced tree skiing? We can do that too.
  • From steeper high alpine slopes all the way down through gentle powder bowls and intermediate gladed tree skiing, Skeena offers a little bit of everything. If you ski or ride well, you’ll fall in love with our terrain.
Groups
  • Small Groups: only three groups of four people per A-Star B2 helicopter
  • You are comfortable skiing alongside other guests with compatible skiing abilities. Don’t worry, we screen people’s ability level.
  • Unlimited Vertical, with a Vertical Guarantee of 25,000 metres (82,000 feet)! On average, guests ski around 36,000m (118,110ft), depending on the groups’ fitness and skiing ability, snow, and weather conditions.

Day 1: Arrival Day (Thursday)We pick you up from the airport, and after driving through little villages and over mighty rivers, you arrive at Bear Claw Lodge, nestled on the banks of the Kispiox River. You’ll arrive a bit after 8:00pm, welcomed with snacks, drinks, and an intro to the lodge and our team.
  2. Day 2: First Heli Ski Day (Friday)At 8:20am your guides will join you to talk about the day ahead. Then you will head outside to do the safety and helicopter briefing. Our heli skiing lodge, Bear Claw, is your home away from home in the Skeena Mountains, a 15,000-square-foot timber lodge set on the Kispiox River, overlooked by Baldy Mountain, and surrounded by 2.3 million acres of pristine wilderness.

Guests stay in one of 8 charming, and uniquely themed rooms, each with ensuite bathrooms.

Our rates are based on double occupancy, however, we have a total of 8 rooms meaning 4 people per week can choose to upgrade to a private room.

Getting There

  • Begin your journey north at Vancouver International Airport (YVR).
  • Skeena Heliskiing is off the beaten path in the middle of the wilderness, but still only a 2 hour drive from the Smithers Airport.

It is a custom in Canada for guests to leave tips. If our team made your stay enjoyable, we would recommend a tip of between 5-10% per person based on your package price.

We very strongly recommend that you take your ski boots with you, as carry-on luggage.

We strongly recommend Emergency Evacuation Insurance and Trip / Holiday Cancellation and or Interruption Insurance.
