Where you stay
Semi-private yurt bedroom at the Alaska Rendezvous Lodge.
Double-bedroom yurts are thoughtfully divided into two private suites - each with its own bedroom and private bathroom - arranged around a communal yurt with a cozy living room, TV, and snacks.
Fast Wi-Fi covers the entire site, and a dedicated gym yurt is ready for a morning warm-up before the helicopter lifts off.
Getting There
Most guests fly into Anchorage, then make the roughly 300-mile drive to Thompson Pass - north through Palmer and Glennallen, then south on the Richardson Highway. The easiest way is a rental car or our guest shuttle straight to the lodge - the highway runs right past both of them.
The Alaska Rendezvous Lodge is ten miles further up the pass at Milepost 45.

Good To Know
- We ask that guests bring their own ski or snowboard boots, and pack a spare pair of goggles in case of loss or breakage.
- VHSG helicopters are fitted with Hobbs meters, which only register when the helicopter is flying.
- While gratuities are greatly appreciated, they are never required.
