For skiers that are willing to put in a bit more work to access unbelievable off piste descents with the use of touring skis and skins. Using the lift system to gain as much height as possible then skinning to open up a whole world of off piste that can't be accessed by relying only on the use of ski lifts alone.

Unlike longer hut to hut trips, our course is all about the skiing, returning to the same resort at the end of each day. Each ascent with skins will last from 30 minutes to 2 hours with possibly one bigger ascent of a 3 – 4 hour skin. If you have never ski toured we recommend booking our Intro to Ski Touring course.

Minimum requirements for this course: Competent off piste skiers (level 5). Skiers who have a high level of fitness to ski all day off piste following a 2 hour skin with a break for lunch. The ability to get up unaided after a fall is essential.

Tignes is linked with Val d'Isere, which is one of the biggest ski areas in the world with skiing from 2100m – 3600m; it offers amazing conditions from late November right through to late April.
