- Minimum requirements for this course: Skiers who are competent to ski off piste Backcountry for full days, Level 5 and above.
- Skiers who have a good level of fitness to ski all day off piste in all conditions, with a break for lunch.
- Ability to get up unaided after a fall is essential.
- Tignes is linked with Val d'Isere, which is one of the biggest ski areas in the world with skiing from 2100m – 3600m; it offers amazing conditions from late November right through to late April.

- By Air – fly to Geneva, Lyon, Grenoble or Chambery. By Rail – the closest station is Bourg St Maurice, transfer up to Tignes by local bus or taxi.
