Terrain, ability and group
Skill Level: Intermediate to Expert
Terrain: Trees, playful lines, deep days
Rusutsu: Famous for its perfectly spaced birch trees, zero lift lines, and surreal indoor carousel vibe. When the storm hits, this is the ultimate tree-riding playground.
Furano: A classic, authentic peak offering long, continuous vertical drops and incredible side-country terrain that stays untracked long after the snow falls.
Niseko: The undisputed capital of Japow. A massive, interconnected playground featuring wide-open bowls, legendary night riding, and a bustling global base village.
Akakura Onsen & Akakura Kanko (Akakan): These two interconnected resorts sit right above the lively Akakura village. They are the heart of the Myoko region, offering a great mix of gentle groomers for beginners and families, tree runs, and luxurious ski-in/ski-out accommodations.
Madarao Onsen: 60% of the courses are ungroomed, so there's a good chance that you'll be able to enjoy a fluffy, deep powder when you ski.
Nozawa Onsen Snow Resort: A combination of massive natural snowfall (averaging 10-12 meters annually), a traditional 400-year-old hot spring village, and diverse terrain. It offers over 36 distinct runs spanning 1,085 meters of vertical drop, catering to all levels from beginners on the wide Uenotaira slopes to advanced riders tackling the steep Challenge 39° wall.

Itinerary
We start in Hokkaido, moving between the deep tree runs of Rusutsu, the side-country stashes of Furano, and the world-famous powder fields of Niseko. After days of hunting chest-deep cold smoke, we transition to Tokyo for a neon-lit, sushi-fueled cultural reset before pushing into the heart of Honshu. From there, we base out of Myoko Kogen and the historic village of Nozawa Onsen, conquering the natural steeps of Madarao Onsen, the majestic terrain of Akakura and old-school Nozawa Onsen Snow Resort.
