Terrain, ability and who it is for
- Four days of cat skiing in Pelister National Park, exploring terrain from forested powder runs at 1,400m to the high alpine of Mt Pelister at 2,610m.
- Runs stretch for up to 4km, with a mix of open alpine terrain, powder fields and tree riding across the mountain.
- Ability – This tour is for advanced riders who can move through powder, trees, and ungroomed terrain with flow, commitment, and control, are comfortable in deep snow, on narrow traverses, and through tight trees without needing to stop and plan each turn.

Day by day
- Day 1: Arrival in ThessalonikiWelcome to Greece. On arrival in Thessaloniki, we’ll transfer as a group to our hotel before heading out for a traditional Greek welcome dinner in the heart of the historic Ladadika district.
- Day 2: Thessaloniki & the MountainsAfter breakfast, we’ll spend the day exploring Thessaloniki with a local guide. Later in the afternoon, we leave the coast behind and head into the mountains to the traditional village of Agios Athanasios.
- Day 3: Snowboarding, Hot Springs & North MacedoniaBreakfast and check out. This morning, we’ll spend a half day riding at Kaimaktsalan, Greece’s highest ski resort. After a morning on the mountain, we’ll continue to Loutra Pozar to soak in the region’s natural thermal hot springs before enjoying lunch beside the steaming pools. Later that afternoon, we cross the border into North Macedonia, where our home for the next six nights is a cozy family-run lodge on the edge of Pelister National Park.
- Day 4: Cat Skiing BeginsAfter breakfast, we’ll load into our private snowcat before a comprehensive safety briefing with our local guides. From there, we’ll head into Pelister National Park for our first full day exploring its incredible backcountry terrain, stopping for a hearty mountain lunch high on the mountain.
- Day 5: Cat Ski DayAnother full day in the mountains means fresh terrain, new lines, and another chance to experience a different side of Pelister.
- Day 6: OhridToday we trade snow for history, spending the day exploring the UNESCO World Heritage city of Ohrid.
- Day 7: Cat Ski DayAfter a day away from the mountains, we’re back on snow for another full day of cat skiing in Pelister National Park.
- Day 8: Final Cat Ski DayOur final day on snow is all about making the most of the conditions. Back at the lodge, we’ll gather for one final dinner together before heading into nearby Bitola for our farewell night out.
- Day 9: Stobi, Tikveš Winery & Skopje, Tour ConcludesAfter breakfast, we’ll farewell the mountains and begin our journey toward Skopje, with two final experiences along the way.

Where you stay
The trip includes one night in Thessaloniki, one night in the traditional mountain village of Agios Athanasios and six nights at our family-run Cat Ski Lodge at the base of Pelister National Park. All accommodation throughout the tour is in ensuite rooms. Twin rooms are for two guests traveling together. Solo travelers will be accommodated in a single room. We do not pair solo travelers together to share a twin room.
Getting There
No. Flights are not included. The tour begins in Thessaloniki, Greece and finishes in Skopje, North Macedonia, so you’ll need to book an open-jaw itinerary rather than a standard return flight. The tour begins in Thessaloniki. A group transfer from Thessaloniki Airport is included, followed by our welcome dinner that evening in the historic Ladadika district.
