Hakuba World Tour

Big peaks, deep powder, and easy access—Hakuba delivers world-class skiing with a true Japanese mountain vibe.

Operated byExtremely CanadianCamp; Guide Service; Travel Company

11 ski resorts, 135 lifts, 5 gondolas, and plenty of ramen. What more could you ask for? Commonly referred to as the Japanese Alps, the small town of Hakuba has plenty of historical significance in the ski world, including being the 1998 Olympics venue, but one thing separates this small town from the pack in the world of Japanese powder skiing—the unbelievably complex and diverse terrain.

Suits Intermediate to Expert riders

This trip will have a heavy focus on chairlift-accessed ski-touring with the majority of the time spent descending steep powder runs and exploring all that Hakuba and the surrounding mountains have to offer. There are as many as 12 uncommonly skied ridgelines to choose from just outside the resort boundaries, allowing us to pick and choose the terrain and lines we ski. The area boasts the largest peaks in Japan, offering the opportunity to get into the beautiful Hakuba alpine.

Extremely Canadian is geared towards adventurous advanced-intermediate to expert skiers. If you can ski an un-groomed "Black Diamond" run at your home hill, then you belong with us! Skiers are placed in small groups of similar ability, combined with a serious amount of vertical, guaranteed improvement, tired legs, make for an unforgettable ski experience.
