The 2 Alpes area offers a very wide range of possibilities, from the glacier but also in the Bons forest. With its large, gradual slopes and ungroomed areas, it is the ideal spot for getting off-piste without difficulty.

Day by day
- Arrival: ArrivalCheck in from 18:00. If you plan to arrive after 8pm, please contact the sports village (email or telephone) so that we can send you the code for the entrance door. You will then find an envelope with your name on it and instructions on how to find your room. Dinner is served until 8:30pm.
- Day 1: Breakfast (8:30 am to 10 am), provision of skiing equipment and your ski pass valid from the first day of the course. From the first afternoon, practice at your convenience. Our teams will provide you with all the information you need to get your stay in the snow off to a good start: safety advice, weather information, snow conditions, slope information. In the evening, the UCPA staff will give you all the information concerning the supervised sessions that start the next day: group formation, meeting times, highlights of the week. 5 sessions from Monday to Friday with a break on Wednesday.Typically, 1 session in the morning or afternoon. On the programme: advice and learning sessions for all-terrain skiing, introduction to safety and the use of avalanche search equipment, and of course, great descents away from the slopes in a relaxed atmosphere. Group formed based on your abilities, your expectations and your technical level.
- Day 2: MondayChecking the level of participants on the slopes and the edges of the slopes. Technical upgrade. Safety training - 1st approach to safety equipment and its use.
- Day 3: TuesdayPiste and off-piste nearby. Technical improvement. Notions of group travel off-piste. Avalanche rescue practice and beacon testing.
- Day 4: WednesdayRest, independent skiing.
- Days 5–6: Thursday and FridayThe emphasis is on the gradual completion of longer itineraries alternating with technical sessions: improvement and technical adaptation to different terrains (skiing in the forest, steeper slopes) and discovery of the mountain environment (transformation of the snow, choice of itineraries and orientations). The course of this programme is given for information purposes only. It may be subject to modifications or adjustments, depending on technical criteria, safety requirements or current weather conditions. In this case, only the UCPA supervisors are authorised to make the necessary decision(s). It may also be adapted according to the technical and physical level of the participants.
- Departure: DepartureAfter a final unsupervised morning, return of equipment on Saturday before 12 p.m. Check-out of the room no later than 1 p.m. Departure from the sports village at 2 p.m.

The centre
UCPA Les Deux Alpes is in a fabulous location just 100m from the ski area and a couple of minutes walk from the town centre. The centre is a large wood and stone traditional alpine chalet style building. The restaurant is of particular note with a stunning terrace overlooking the Ecrins National Park. Plus it also has a sauna and jacuzzi for those that need a bit of pampering after a hard day on the hill.
Multishare rooms
Les Deux Alpes shared rooms are spacious, with most of them having been recently renovated. All rooms have a sink and shower, with loos being shared on each floor. There are 4 to 6 person rooms, with groups of four having the option to book a room for four with a supplement, but they may be given a four person room without paying the supplement. It is not possible to book 3 or 6 person rooms.
Groups who book together are typically roomed together in a combination that works. Solo travellers are usually roomed with people of similar age, gender and course. It is not possible to make specific rooming requests, but the centre will do their best to accommodate everyone.
Twin rooms
There are some twin rooms at UCPA Les Deux Alpes, with each room having a shower and a sink, but shared toilets on each floor. These rooms may have separate beds or bunkbeds. They are available to book for a supplement per person when making the booking. Please note single occupancy in twin rooms is not possible as courses are curated on a per bed basis and therefore two people need to book together in a twin room.
Getting There
By Air:
The nearest airport to Les Deux Alpes is Grenoble. During the winter it has quite a few more scheduled flights to service the seasonal demand. From there you would need to make your own way to the resort; either by bus or airport transfer.
Airport Transfers:
We provide shared transfers on Saturdays from Grenoble Airport to Les Deux Alpes with our local partner Ben's Bus. The journey is 100km and typically takes around 2 hours, but this can vary due to weather and traffic.
– On the 5th December we only have services from Grenoble Airport
– On the 17th April we only have services to Grenoble Airport
Our transfer partner, Ben's Bus, meets all scheduled flights for Grenoble on Saturdays and Sundays and weekdays for Les Deux Alpes.

Before you book

- You can book with a £/€100 deposit if your start date is more than 8 weeks away.
- Balance due
- The balance is due either 35 days or 20 days before your trip depending on if you pay in instalments or not.
- Payment plan
- If you paid with a deposit, you have the option to pay an instalment (50% of the balance) up until 35 days before your trip. The second and final instalment is due 20 days before travel. There is no extra cost for using our instalment option.
- Insurance

UCPA age policy: You should be < 41 at the start date of the holiday for 18-40 trips; 18-55 trips: you should be <56 at the start date; 41-44 year olds who have travelled with UCPA before (or travel with someone who has) can book 18-40 trips; 45-55 may request an age exemption; over 55 no exemptions. Please bring your passport or ID card to reception; centres check ages against courses.
Rooms are shared: the multi share option is a bed in a room with other people (usually 4-6 people per room); solo travellers are roomed in a single sex room. Private twin rooms are available in most centres for 2 people travelling together for a supplement; availability is limited and single occupancy in twin rooms is not possible.
You will be required to make your beds on arrival and strip your beds when you leave, and to give your room a clean before you go. Bedding is provided but not towels.
Travel insurance is a condition of booking a holiday with Action Outdoors.
You can book with a £/€100 deposit if your start date is more than 8 weeks away; the balance is due either 35 days or 20 days before your trip depending on if you pay in instalments or not.
Your booking is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email; it may take up to 24 hours to confirm your booking with UCPA, so don't book travel until you have received confirmation.
Batteries for the transceiver are not included; bring brand new ones (4xAA and 4xAAA suggested) or buy them from reception.
