Terrain is chosen to fit the group's overall skiing/riding level and progresses to more challenges per group request and guide assessment.

After fun, thrilling, and challenging days in the mountains, enjoy apres hang-out time and dinners with the group. Morning yoga and stretch sessions are available and optional, plus massage therapy and acupuncture are available for an extra cost.

Guests must be proficient in skiing and snowboarding with upper advanced or better skills and the ability to confidently descend expert-level terrain at their local mountain in variable snow conditions and deep powder. A high level of fitness and stamina is required; at the time of the trip, guests must be able to descend up to 25,000 vertical feet or more over the course of a day at a moderate pace while wearing a pack. Not every day will be this intense, but guests should be prepared for several large days in a row.

Accommodation

7 nights of lodging in Valdez is included. Valdez is a quaint Alaskan town on the shores of Port Valdez and Prince William Sound, with amenities including miles of groomed cross country skiing trails, a free indoor climbing wall and public indoor swimming pool at the high school, a health and fitness center at Prince William Sound College, museums, the Rogue's Garden Cafe, wildlife viewing, beach walking, and glacier exploration for days the group may not be able to get into the mountains.

Located at 300 Airport Rd, Valdez, AK 99686. Airport ground shuttle in Valdez is included. Guests are responsible for their own travel to and from Valdez.

Itinerary

ARRIVAL/ORIENTATION DAY IN VALDEZ: arrival details provided upon reservation.

DAILY HELISKIING: the daily itinerary is variable based on weather and snow conditions. Guides communicate daily plans each morning via group chat. The group aims to ski every day, weather permitting. Most mornings there is an opportunity for stretching and yoga with the Wellness Director, followed by breakfast, then heliskiing depending on weather.

DEPARTURE: the final reserved ski day may run until 5pm, so guests should plan travel accordingly. Some guests opt to stay an extra night in Valdez (lodging may be limited, so plan in advance).

Booking: final booking deadline is 90 days prior to the adventure. Reservations before that deadline require a 50% deposit; after the deadline, full payment is required.

No-Fly Day policy: if there are no-fly days due to weather, high avalanche conditions, mechanical issues, or other factors that prevent using all pre-purchased flight time (Hobbs hours), guests may either use 100% of unused flight time during the remainder of the current season (if seats are available with a suitable group), or receive a credit for 50% of unused flight time (at $1,500/hour) toward a future Pulseline Alaska heli-skiing trip within two years.

Cancellation policy: no cash refunds for any reason. Credit toward a future trip is given for the full value of the deposit if cancellation is made 120+ days before scheduled arrival, 50% credit if made 90+ days before, and no credit for cancellations within 90 days.

Travel and medical insurance is strongly recommended, including evacuation coverage, since guests are billed for helicopter/ambulance costs if evacuated.
