Terrain, ability and who it is for
- You should be in very good shape and confident skiing steep and varied terrain and snow conditions, including powder and hard pack.
- Participants must ski ungroomed black diamond runs without hesitation and have strong ski touring or splitboarding experience, including efficient transitions, skinning steep terrain, and executing kick turns.
- Snowboarders should maintain speed on flats, hold a solid traverse line, and maneuver smoothly to keep the group moving.
- You should be comfortable climbing 1,000 meters (3,300 feet) per day in multiple ascents, with the ability to handle up to 1,500 meters (4,900 feet).
- Finally there is a 16 km (10 miles) walk out of the wilderness (yes, walking) at the end of the trip.

Day by day
- Day 1: Arrive in Bariloche ArgentinaArrive at Bariloche Airport (BRC) by 6:30PM. Meet the guides, check into the hotel, prepare for the Frey Hut departure, and have a group dinner.
- Day 2: Ski Catedral, backcountry tour to Refugio Frey HutAfter breakfast, pack up and leave the hotel for Catedral resort. Warm up on the slopes, then tour to Refugio Frey for dinner and an overnight stay.
- Day 3: Backcountry ski touring around Refugio Frey HutTour the terrain around Refugio Frey, with breakfast, dinner and an overnight at the hut.
- Day 4: Refugio Frey Hut to Refugio Jacob HutAfter breakfast, pack up and traverse from Refugio Frey to Refugio Jacob during a full touring day. Dinner and overnight are at Jacob.
- Days 5–6: Backcountry ski touring at Refugio Jacob HutTour the backcountry around Refugio Jacob, returning to the hut for meals and overnight stays.
- Day 7: Backcountry ski touring at Refugio Jacob Hut, return to BarilocheAfter breakfast and checkout, tour and descend before returning to Bariloche. The return includes a 16km/10-mile trail hike. Check into the hotel and join the farewell dinner.
- Day 8: Departure Day - Farewell PatagoniaBreakfast and farewell. The hotel can arrange an airport transfer around the departure time.
