Terrain, ability and who it is for
- You should be in very good shape and confident skiing steep and varied terrain and snow conditions, including hard pack.
- Participants must ski ungroomed black diamond runs without hesitation and have strong ski touring or splitboarding experience, including efficient transitions, skinning steep terrain, and executing kick turns.
- Snowboarders should maintain speed on flats, hold a solid traverse line, and maneuver smoothly to keep the group moving.
- You should be comfortable climbing 1,000 meters (3,300 feet) per day in multiple ascents, with the ability to handle up to 1,500 meters (4,900 feet).
- Discover southern Chile’s stunning landscapes and old growth forests, including the Araucaria; beautiful living fossils known as “monkey puzzle trees”.

Day by day
- Day 1: Arrive to Temuco and travel to Malalcahuello at the base of Volcano LonquimayArrive at Temuco by 9AM on a domestic flight from Santiago; the operator suggests reaching Santiago the previous day. Meet the guides and travel to Malalcahuello, check into the lodge, attend the mountain and avalanche safety introduction, and have dinner.
- Days 2–3: Ski Tour Lonquimay Volcano and surrounding backcountry touring zonesTwo full days touring the local backcountry, with a Lonquimay summit attempt at 2,865m if weather and conditions permit. Breakfasts and dinners are at the lodge; local hot springs are an option.
- Days 4–7: Arrive to Pucon; Ski Volcano Villarrica and other surrounding peaksTravel to Pucon beside Lake Villarrica and tour nearby volcanoes and backcountry. A Villarrica summit at 2,840m depends on conditions. After skiing, explore hot springs and the town's restaurants.
- Day 8: Depart Pucon, Return to Temuco-SantiagoBreakfast, checkout and transfer from Pucon to Temuco for afternoon or evening flights to Santiago.
