Day by day
This is provided as a guideline and may be adjusted according to the group’s level and mountain conditions.
- Day 1: Transfer from Chamonix to the Gressoney Valley in Italy and the village of Stafal, via the Mont Blanc Tunnel. We take the ski lifts up to Indren (3,275 m), the highest point of the Gressoney ski area. We then set off on a first ski tour towards Punta Giordani (4,046 m). We ski back down before continuing with a beautiful descent to the Orestes Hut (2,625 m), located just next to the ski area.Vertical ascent: 500 m / Vertical descent: 500 m
- Day 2: After a first descent to Gabiet, we take the ski lifts to Indren (3 275m), from where we head to the Montova hut (3 500m). Once again we can lighten our packs here before heading for our first 4000er: the Vincent Pyramid (4 215m). The gentle gradient of the slopes here is made for skiing. We descend via the same route to the hut, where we spend the night.Vertical ascent: 940m / Vertical descent: 715m
- Day 3: We set off towards the Col de Lys (4,256 m). Once again, the gentle slopes provide excellent skiing terrain. Throughout the ascent, the glacial atmosphere is particularly striking and the views are spectacular. From the Col de Lys, we may continue towards Punta Gnifetti (4,554 m). We then descend the Grenz Glacier, which offers a truly spectacular descent between the Dufourspitze (4,634 m) and the Lyskamm (4,527 m), before reaching the Monte Rosa Hut (2,883 m), where we spend the night.Vertical ascent: 1,054 m / Vertical descent: 1,670 m
- Day 4: From the Monte Rosa Hut, we make an ascending traverse towards Ob dem See (approximately 2,800 m). Crossing this rocky shoulder requires us to progress with our skis on our backpacks along an equipped section before reaching the Gorner Glacier. We then climb this vast, gently angled glacier, dominated by the impressive serac barriers of the Monte Rosa glaciers. We cross the glacier to the Stockhornpass (3,382 m), then continue to the summit of the Stockhorn (3,532 m). We then begin our descent towards the Findel Glacier and the Zermatt ski area. We reach Gant, then take the ski lifts up to Blauherd, from where we ski down the pistes to Zermatt.Vertical ascent: 720 m / Vertical descent: 1,520 m
