Terrain, ability and who it is for
- You ski often and at a high level. You ski both sidecountry and backcountry, as well as ski-alpinism. You are steady and comfortable on any terrain. You ski couloirs (gullies) of up to 40° and would like to improve your steep skiing and mountain skiing skills. You are familiar with avalanche companion rescue techniques and glacier safety methods. You have previous experience with crampons on ice and mixed ground, and can belay and rappel. You have participated in assorted multi-day, hut-to-hut ski tours in the Alps.
- This is an advanced, high-altitude ski touring trip; you will need to be an expert in ski touring with experience in touring on glaciers and overnight trips. You need to know how to use crampons and ice axe and how to abseil.
- Fitness level 4/4
- You need to be physically strong and fit. This trip includes days with long ascents (up to 1800m). We strongly recommend that you do an acclimatisation tour prior to the trip.
